Requirements:
• BSc or HND/HNC in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work.
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server)
• A full UK driving license is also required as the role may include some occasional travel to other UK sites.
Desirable:
• Experience of supporting automated materials handling systems.
• PLC knowledge is advantageous.
• Good team working skills.
• Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills desirable.
• Working with Jira or any Incident logging software
• Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
Responsibilities:
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining Systems.
• Working as a team member or alone to complete projects.
• Observing safety procedures and meeting our highest standards set in place.
• Making decisions based on technical documents.
• Performing quality testing and inspections.
The Work
Technician reports to the Engineering Manager and provides technical support for warehouse automated material handling software systems and equipment. Using an array of technical tools, you will be identifying and resolving issues with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Flow Systems (MFS) and escalating to the appropriate team for resolution. You will be analyzing system daily operation reports to track and identify opportunities for continued improvement. You will test and monitor system performance after the deployment of changes. As an Application Support Technician, you will be part of the engineering team and will work in tandem with the engineers to resolve certain issues. This is a customer focused role, and you will be communicating with the customer daily.Job Benefits
